Your Project is Going to Be Amazing!
At KBC, "Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinets LLC," we are thrilled to collaborate with you on creating the cabinetry of your dreams. Our team is committed to bringing your vision to life, and you’ll have the support of our specialists throughout the entire process for a seamless, efficient experience. Here’s a look at each phase of our journey together to craft your beautiful new space.
Step 1: Introduction Meeting
In our initial meeting, we’ll discuss your ideas, plans, and inspirational images, as well as explore various door styles and finishes. This is the time for creativity and inspiration. To make the most of this stage, please prepare details on any other finishes you’ve chosen—such as flooring, countertops, tile, fixtures, and appliances—which help refine the design of your custom cabinetry. Once we’ve gathered this information, we’ll begin the design drawings.
Step 2: Site Inspection (Measuring and Scaling)
Our team will conduct an on-site inspection to get a comprehensive understanding of your space. We’ll take precise measurements and assess plumbing, electrical outlets, ceiling heights, wall depths, and more. This step is key to aligning your vision with the physical possibilities of your space.
Step 3: Linear Foot Price Estimate
Next, we’ll provide a preliminary cost estimate based on the linear foot pricing of your project. This range helps gauge if KBC's cabinetry offerings align with your budget, giving us a foundation for the design process while allowing room for adjustments.
Step 4: Design Deposit
The design deposit initiates the project, signaling your commitment to move forward. The deposit, which is 10% of the Linear Foot Price Estimate or $5,000 (whichever is less), is non-refundable and applies toward the final cost. Should you decide to go in another direction, KBC will retain the deposit but release all drawings completed to date.
Step 5: Design Drawings
With the initial deposit in place, we dive into the design process! For accurate, efficient results, ensure that selections for countertops, plumbing fixtures, and appliances are finalized. This phase transforms your ideas into detailed drawings and layouts.
Step 6: Revisions
Revisions allow for refinement within a structured timeline. You will have 35 hours of design time included in your project, which covers adjustments as needed. If more time is required, additional hours can be purchased. Staying on schedule helps meet construction timelines and maintain project flow.
Step 7: Cabinetry Proposal
Once the initial design is complete, we’ll compile a detailed proposal broken down by room, providing clarity on costs. Following the final sign-off on drawings and proposal, we proceed to the Cabinetry Layout.
Step 8: 50% Deposit
This deposit secures your order and advances your cabinets into production. The amount due will be shown in your finalized proposal.
Step 9: On-Site Cabinetry Layout
Our on-site layout service is an essential resource for all trades involved in your project. KBC will mark the floor layout, plumbing, electrical, and other requirements, ensuring the project stays aligned with design specifications.
Step 10: Drawing and Proposal Updates
Based on the site layout, minor adjustments may be made. Should unexpected issues arise, like structural limitations, we’ll reissue updated drawings for final approval.
Step 11: Ordering Cabinets
Once the cabinetry style is selected, production lead times will vary from 10–28 weeks, depending on the line chosen. We coordinate with your contractor to align cabinet delivery with the project timeline.
Step 12: Cabinet Arrival and Install Schedule
Upon cabinet arrival, the next 40% payment is due. We aim to time delivery with project readiness, though delays sometimes occur. KBC offers 30 days of complimentary storage; additional storage days will incur a weekly fee.
Step 13: Project Site Delivery Requirements
To prepare for cabinetry delivery:
Ensure a conditioned, climate-controlled space to prevent expansion or contraction of cabinetry.
Provide a clean, open workspace for installer setup.
Confirm electricity access for tool use.
Step 14: Installation Process
This stage is exciting! However, to ensure a smooth installation, we kindly request limited client interaction on-site until the work is complete. This allows our team to focus and proceed without delay.
Step 15: Installation to Punch-Out
We strive to limit punch-out tasks by managing damages or adjustments efficiently. Replacement items, if needed, have a lead time of 5–12 weeks depending on your cabinetry line.
Step 16: Completion Walkthrough
The final walkthrough ensures every detail meets your expectations. Let us know if anything requires attention; we want you to be thrilled with your new space! The final 10% payment is due upon sign-off.
Step 17: Photo Opportunity
We’d love to showcase your beautiful new space! Let us know when you’re settled in so we can capture professional photos of the finished design.
Thank you for choosing KBC. We look forward to exceeding your expectations and working together again on your next cabinetry project!
